ALLANDALE OFFICES

WATERFALL CITY, MIDRAND

2016

ATTACQ

The Allandale office building landscape relates to the ground floor of the building and it is designed to integrate logically with the adjoining park landscape.

The existing pedestrian lane provides access to the entrance of the building. The existing streetscape consists of the following; an outer edge defined by trees and bollards, separating the pedestrian movement from the vehicular movement, a pedestrian and bicycle lane and a bus stop

The proposed landscape at the southern façade of the building will complement the aesthetics and geometry of the building through landscaping in the form of hedging or planting as well as benches for seating.  A terraced planter extended by alternating bands of paving and lawn will complement and “announce” the main building façade and provide a connection to the street corner.
