Eye of Africa is a residential golf community in Eikenhof, south of Johannesburg, consisting of 3 phases and developed by Medalist (Australia).
Phase 1 of the development and consists of 220 erven, 12 group house erven, 8 parks (6ha) and 10.8ha of park-like road reserves and a Greg Norman-designed championship golf course. Phase 1 of Eye of Africa (excluding the golf course) was developed at a cost of R200 million. The urban design concept was done by V2i – (Australia), but refined by the landscape architects.
An ILASA merit award of Excellence for design was conferred upon the Eye of Africa.
The landscape design has established the following:

An appropriate park system that is sensitive to the environment and that provides to the needs of residents.

A landscape and streetscape theme that is inspired by the natural Highveld environment.

A landscape that add maximum value to community living whilst at the same time being budget and water conscience.
